Superior Tube Strengthens Quality Expertise with Appointment of Steven Alai as Level III Product Quality Manager

Collegeville, PA, U.S. (Jan. 14, 2020)) - Steven Alai has joined precision metal tubing manufacturer, Superior Tube, as the new Level III Product Quality Manager. He will work closely with the Production, Quality, Product Development, and Customer Service teams at the Collegeville based company.

Steven will head up the development and execution of Superior Tube’s effective nondestructive testing and quality assurance program, reporting to Mark Heuberger, Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality Assurance Manager. He joins the company with more than 20 years’ experience of operations and leadership roles in related fields associated with the manufacture of high quality, precision products.

Superior Tube is one of five business units comprising AMETEK Specialty Metal Products (SMP), alongside AMETEK SMP Wallingford, Fine Tubes, AMETEK SMP Eighty Four, and Hamilton Precision Metals. The company manufactures small diameter, precision engineered tubing products in a range of stainless steel, titanium, zirconium, and nickel alloys for sectors including nuclear, oil and gas, medical, aerospace and defense.
